ravage 24/7, July 23, 2011 By = Durability: = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Fireburst Optimus Prime (Toy) Optimus Prime Fireburst is a great transformer with some sweet new design decor!The most obvious is instead of the movie flames Optimus has an electric shock design on the sides of the cab and front part of the truck.Also he has a reptile scale plating armor on the hood and roof with some extra armor design on the windshield.There is also a lava type coloring on both cylinders as well.The detail overall in robot or truck mode is outstanding with very good realism.The poseability is awesome as well with Optimus able to assume many different poses for battle scenes or displaying this hero where you please.The stability is very solid overall.The durability is excellent with Optimus being able to handle any battle or situation that may arise.The durability is also very solid overall in robot or truck modes.The Mech Tech weapon Optimus has is a Rifle that converts to a Cybertanium Battle Axe which is what he uses in the final battle scenes of the movie.The weapon can be deployed on either... = Fun: = Educational: This review is from: Transformers: Dark of the Moon - MechTech Voyager - Fireburst Optimus Prime (Toy) as my first Movie Line Optimus Prime i have to say this is a pretty cool toy, the transformation is unique and the weapon (and it's gimmick) are pretty cool but i have to give 3 stars on durability because the last 2 i've had the weapon gimmick had broken thus making the weapon not work right, but don't get me wrong the figure itself is fine it's just the weapon that doesent seem to be 100% durable but if you want a prime figure i would have to reccomend getting the standard one over this one for the sake of the MechTech Weapon Durability

The detailing is pretty well done, and what impressed me the most was his articulation overall in robot mode. He is pretty versatile in whatever pose you want to put him in. Also, for you older trans-fans that remember breaking your toys when you were younger, this robot is kind of made in parts. What I mean is if a part comes off (pretty much whatever it is), it is made to snap right back on, whether it's his arms or legs or whatever. This little feature in itself makes the toy pretty much indestructible. All except for his little gun-piece, Mine came in and it wasn't folding into his axe properly, I called Hasbro and they are currently rectifying the situation.
Overall, Hasbro did an excellent job with this toy line. They are well made, way better than the G1 line. Transformations are a little more challenging for youngsters though, but like a puzzle, they can even keep the adults entertained for some... Read more
